A fashion designer-hopeful who ended up
in law school a bar examinee a licensed attorney instead, I bought the first bike of my adult life in January 2008, halfway through my first year of law school. What started as a way to stay sane and get around town turned into an obsession, a project making cycling hats, and a blog.
Two Four years and two mini bikes later, pedal-strike has morphed from delivering handmade cycling caps on my pink-rimmed, Deep V-ed fixed gear to learning how to climb big hills in full Lycra on lots of gears. It’s a collection of stories – ones that involve two wheels – from Boston to NYC to Tokyo. It’s about falling down, permanently scarring knees, and getting back up to do it all over again. It’s about being on one gear for too long, discovering awesome rides, overtraining, and having the kind of friends who know way too much about old Campy parts.
If you like what you see, I’m also available for freelance writing projects. Or just making awesome things happen. So, you know, get in touch, if only just to say hello.
Thanks for stopping by!
